The municipality of Albuñol will host a new edition of the “Women with History” awards gala on March 7, an event dedicated to recognizing the lives and contributions of women who have left a meaningful mark on the community.
Organized by the local council, the ceremony celebrates its fourth edition this year and has become an important part of the activities surrounding the International Women’s Day. The initiative highlights stories of dedication, perseverance, and commitment that form part of the social fabric and collective memory of the municipality.
The event will take place at the Centro Cultural La Era Gitano. Doors will open at 5:30 pm, giving attendees time to gather and socialize before the ceremony begins at 6:00 pm.
During the gala, the audience will learn about the lives and achievements of seven women from the municipality, whose experiences reflect values such as hard work, courage, and dedication to their families and community.
The honorees this year are: Rosa Juárez Blanco, Pilar Ruiz Juárez (posthumous award), María Manzano Puga, Magdalena Gómez Romero, Gracia Fernández Fernández (posthumous award), Adelaida Maldonado Maldonado, and Josefina Tarifa Fernández.
The ceremony is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend and share in an evening of recognition and appreciation. A small reception will be offered at the end of the event.
With this initiative, Albuñol once again highlights the essential role women play in shaping the history, identity, and future of the community
