The Costa Tropical is getting ready to transform into a hub of thrills and entertainment as local authorities roll out an extensive agenda for Halloween. Spanning from October 30 through November 1, the upcoming festivities will combine family-friendly stage performances, an expanded haunted house experience, local business promotions, and a full-day music festival.
The highlight of the spooky celebrations in Almuñécar is the return of the popular horror walkthrough attraction, ‘La última función’ (The Last Show). Hosted by Elenco Teatro at the former summer cinema near El Majuelo Park, the immersive maze promises an extended and chilling route designed for thrill-seekers and families alike. Running nightly from October 30 to November 1 starting at 7:00 PM, the production builds on over a decade of local theatrical tradition. Additionally, the troupe will stage a special family-oriented performance titled ‘Las locuras Addams’ (The Addams Family Craziness) at the El Majuelo auditorium on October 31.
Beyond the chills, municipal leaders are focusing heavily on community engagement and commercial support. On October 30, a large-scale ‘Trick-or-Treat’ initiative will roll out across local shopping districts, backed by a municipal donation of 170 kilos of candy distributed among more than 80 participating merchants across Almuñécar and La Herradura. The campaign aims to bring families into the streets while providing a seasonal boost to local neighborhood businesses.
Musical entertainment will take center stage on October 31 as Elenco Park hosts a special Halloween edition of the Granada Fest. Running from early afternoon until 2:00 AM, the festival lineup features performances by artists and DJs including Rasel, Emilio González, DJ Amex, and One Vision, showcasing regional youth talent. Meanwhile, across the bay in La Herradura, the Plaza de la Independencia will host an afternoon program starting at 4:30 PM featuring children’s workshops, bouncy castles, and a traditional costume contest.
