Granada remains the center of attention for the film industry. While the filming of Bayona’s blockbuster “The Snow Society” took place in Sierra Nevada in 2022, it has now been announced that another production has chosen this province as the setting for its new fiction. This time it’s a European television series that will include a beach on the Costa Tropical among its scenarios.

The series, of Belgian origin, will shoot one of its scenes near Motril during this month of May, as reported by the casting company in charge of the project. Although the title has not yet been revealed, it has been suggested that filming is also taking place in other parts of Andalusia, such as Almería, and will soon extend to locations like Granada and Ronda.

This new project comes after the success achieved by other productions filmed on the Costa Tropical, such as Víctor Erice’s film “Cerrar los Ojos” (Close Your Eyes).

Although the genre and plot of the series are still a mystery, it has been confirmed that the scene filmed on the Costa Tropical will be set at a nighttime party.

Filming is scheduled for the nights of May 21 to 23, and young people aged 16 to 35 are being sought to participate in recreating this party. Those interested can send their phone number, city, and recent photos of face and body to hannah@mycasting.es to register for the casting.

Granada continues to attract cameras, establishing itself as an increasingly popular destination for film and television production.
