On Sunday, April 21, Fuengirola will host its annual Día del Perro, a cornerstone event of the town’s ‘pet friendly’ campaign, aimed at fostering better relations between the public and their canine companions. Kicking off at 10 am in Plaza de España, residents and their furry companions can join a parade to Sohail Castle for various activities. The event, organized by the town hall, emphasizes the diverse roles of dogs in society, from companionship to professional assistance in security and emergencies. Attendees can benefit from expert advice on animal health, grooming, adoption, and more from participating companies and charities. The day will also feature the National Canine Contest, open to all registered dog owners, and the National Police of Malaga will showcase their canine unit’s skills. Food and drinks will be available, with proceeds supporting the local association for Alzheimer’s patients and their families.
