Granada’s Sports Department launched its ski campaign in Sierra Nevada, providing 5,700 spots for locals to engage in or enhance their skiing skills. Collaborating with Cetursa, the managing entity of the winter venue, the initiative offers three options for Granada residents. Councilor Jorge Iglesias highlights its popularity, with 4,500 ski passes sold in a day, granting a fifty percent discount to registered Granada citizens. The program caters to children as young as 8, offering school groups up to 14 different courses. Additionally, weekend courses target Granada residents aged 8 and above, providing 200 spots for introductory alpine skiing over two days, including ski passes and five hours of daily instruction.
